ESL releasing ESports TV on PlayStation Vue soon

It was revealed on April 12th that the Electronic Sports League, commonly known as ESL, will be launching their 24 hour channel on Playstation Vue.

EsportsTV will launch on Playstation Vue in April 2017, with US residents gaining early access to the service. It’ll be the very first linear channel dedicated to esports through the Vue service, broadcasting 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.

It has been running as a channel since May 2016 after launching in Europe, reaching an approximate 5 million households. As expected you can get the Playstation Vue service via the PS4, but you can also connect by AppleTV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, on PC/Mac and mobile devices. In order to get ESL’s new channel, you’ll need the Elite Plan. (source: dexerto)

“EsportsTV is the perfect complement to the PlayStation Vue offering and represents just another step for esports as a form of mainstream entertainment. ESL is in a unique position to significantly expand the reach and impact of premium esports content and we are thrilled to bring eSportsTV to the U.S. market.”
