In collaboration with Xiaomi, specifically Black Shark 2 gaming smartphone, Gameloft announced the global Asphalt Series 2019, which will take place in nine different countries: France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Spain, United Kingdom And the United States.

The event will begin on May 20, with the best contenders being selected to compete at the finals that will take place at Gamescom in Germany in August. Players will compete for a total of $22,000.

Not only that, but it was also announced that Asphalt 9: Legends will be one of the three games of the ESL Mobile Open, alongside PUBG Mobile and Clash of Clans. The event is divided into three seasons through 2019 beginning with the first season on May 31 to June 2 In DreamHack Dallas.

A number of smartphone games, such as PUBG Mobile, Vainglory, Clash of Clans, have already begun to have major events around the world, proving smartphones esports can be a thing that co-exists alongside traditional gaming competitions.
