Battle Royale coming to Rainbow Six Siege? New survey raises questions
When it comes to the world’s most popular survival mode, Battle Royale, players have been torn between supporters and opponents, especially after its adoption by many famous titles in online gaming to follow the trend. Now, we may have a possible addition to that mode to Rainbow Six Siege itself, or perhaps an entirely new game
The survey that Ubisoft sent to some fans yesterday raised questions about what was coming to the Rainbow Six series, which included his questions whether fans enjoyed Battle Royale or not. Although this may not necessarily mean that the BR mode is inevitable, many fans have expressed concern about adding such a style to their competitive game.
Rainbow Six Siege is primarily a team based game where five players control different operators, each of whom has their own unique abilities, so a Battle Royale addition has to make a lot of changes to operate within the game’s world, and that may consume development time and thus decrease in devs’ interest in improving and maintaining the main game, many fear.
The poll also includes talk about a new game within the series, where questions about pricing were asked. What players would spend if a new game is launched, and what is a very high price plus the lowest price that will not make the player question the quality of the product were all questions presented by this survey. This may be related to how Siege pricing system used to operate, which has gone through several different phases including the Starter Edition package, which previously allowed the full game to be played for less than $20 but with a small number of operators.
Although the talk seems to be early for a new Rainbow Six game, especially with Ubisoft’s goal of reaching more than 100 operators in Siege, the next project may not be a new direct sequel but an expansion of the game world with different gameplay.
Ubisoft definitely takes their surveys seriously, especially when they asked players about a new Assassin’s Creed game in Rome when AC: Origins was launched two years ago only for it to end up with Assassin’s Creed Odyssey being in Rome, so Rainbow Six players have to answer these questions truthfully If they receive it via e-mail to help the company take the next step to the future of their favorite game.
Ubisoft has recently included players in their Rainbow Six Siege fixing campaign through the Bug Hunter Rewards program, which you can read about here.
