Huge performance by FunPlus Phoenix against Fnatic at Worlds 2019 Quarterfinals

The second and last series of the first day of League of Legends World Championship 2019 quarterfinal has ended between Fnatic and FunPlus Phoenix few minutes ago.

The Chinese squad FunPlus Phoenix and the first LPL seeded have destroyed Fnatic the second LEC seeded to secure their spot for the next round of the League of Legends World Championship 2019 at the end of the first day of quarterfinals with 3-1 in the battle from one side in reality.

Even though Fnatic’s journey ends here, their LEC counterparts, Splyce and G2 Esports, will play tomorrow to keep the region in Worlds contention. FPX, on the other hand, appear to have gotten over their hiccups during the group stage. The LPL team who had a 35-6 win loss record during the Summer Split showed up today. Despite dropping one game, FPX proved to be the better team with three incredibly one-sided games against Fnatic.

Next week FPX will face their fellow LPL representative and reigning World Champions, Invictus Gaming in the semifinals. FPX have beaten IG before, but will their dominance thus far be enough to carry them to the finals?

The Worlds 2019 Quarterfinals continue tomorrow with the first series between SK Telecom T1 and Splyce on 1pm, CEST.
