Getting a chicken dinner in most countries around the world is a fairly easy task. However, it takes a whole lot of a different meaning in the popular survival game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds or PUBG, where a simple chicken dinner requires putting up a lot of effort and planning.
One of the key requirements to excel in PUBG is by getting to know your surroundings well and having the right gear at the right time and place. It’s important to always have different kinds of weapons at your disposal, mainly for close combat and far distances.
Here’s all you need to know about PUBG’s sniper rifles, and where to find them on the map (via: dotesports):
SKS
The weapon was introduced as PUBG’s first designated marksman rifle, and in all fairness, the SKS can be insane when fully equipped with a compensator, foregrip, extended quickdraw mag, and cheek pad kit. This rifle trades damage for fire rate, and when it holds 20 shots with an extended quickdraw mag, it can be used to lay down constant fire up close or from afar.
Where to find it: The SKS is usually found in military areas as well as some houses and apartments.
Mk14 EBR
The newest sniper rifle to join PUBG family, Mk14 is a beast. It’s semi-automatic, like its cousin the SKS, but more powerful and can be insanely accurate when fully kitted with a grip, cheek pad, and compensator.
Where to find it: The Mk14 is exclusively available in care packages, but its 7.62 ammo can be found mostly anywhere.
M24
Next up we have the M24, which is a bolt-action rifle and functions something like AWM weaker younger brother. Accuracy is key, but when your shot is on, it can be dominant.

AWM
The AWM is so far the dominant sniper rifle in PUBG. It can one-shot a level three helmet, making it a necessity in late game. One of its main downsides, though, is that it uses .300 Magnum ammo. Equip this beast with an 8x scope and go nuts.
Where to find it: The AWM and its ammo can only be found in care packages.
Kar98k
The Kar98k rifle is probably the worst of the bolt-action weapon, but it is still a monster in the right pair of steady hands. It is readily available in a lot of areas on the map, and is a gun that most players should become accustomed to using due to its consistency.
Where to find it: The Kar99k is commonly found in military areas as well as some houses and apartments.
VSS
Much like the Kar, the VSS is one of the weakest weapons in the game, but its usefulness is in the fact that it comes with a suppressor and is semi-automatic. Because of this, it can be spammed fairly easily to put out decent 9mm damage at close to medium range.
Where to find it: The VSS can be found in houses and apartments throughout the map.
