PUBG Weapon Mastery guide
Weapon Mastery is a brand new progression feature in PUBG with unique, free rewards.
The idea of PUBG’s Weapon Mastery is to help players become more proficient with weapon types and to give them rewards as they improve, all of the weapons in PUBG will have a number of levels. Players will be able to work their way through these levels by dealing damage and getting kills.
“strategy and precision also have an influence on how quickly you level up your weapons.” PUBG Weapon Mastery has been designed to reward players for playing well, being skilled with weapons and for surviving until the end.
PUBG Weapon Mastery
“Shoot enemies, stay alive, get cool stuff ” this means in the game is that when you land shotsو especially difficult ones, survive longer and get kills you’ll earn Weapons XP more quickly. When you’ve leveled up through 10 levels with a weapon you’ll be promoted to the next Master Tier of which there are 10 in total, and As you gain levels and tiers you’ll unlock special rewards.
To keep track of your Weapon Mastery, the Last Match screen has been updated to include Weapon XP, stats and earned rewards. The rewards you’ll be earning can’t ever be purchased and are designed for players to show off how good they are with different weapons.
What you’ll be earning are; Charms, Mastery Emblems and Medals.
Charms are a brand new aesthetic reward to PUBG. Charms are keychain-like trinkets that attach to the left side on the barrel of each weapon. You can equip and see which charms you have unlocked from inside the Mastery tab. We’re launching with 20 unique charms that must be earned on a per weapon basis and it’s a safe bet that there are more on the way.
Mastery Emblems are associated with the tier you’re currently on.
PUBG has advised that “over the next few months our team will be exploring ways for you to show off your emblems to other players.”
With Weapon Mastery comes Medals. Medals are a way for players to show off what they’ve done within PUBG. The first round of medals available are for completing rare feats such as Double, Triple, Quad, Frenzy and Last Man Standing.
There are larger plans for medals in the future and PUBG will be sharing more details on these at a later date.
You may notice that each of the medals includes the word “Defeat.” According to PUBG, defeats are a new concept to the game and are earned by Killing any player in the solo playlists, Knocking down any enemy in duo or squad playlists, and Killing the last man standing on a team in duo or squad playlists, Which means You do not earn a defeat for killing a player who has already been knocked in the duo or squad playlist.
Weapon Mastery is the first piece of a new system that’s being introduced to PUBG and it will be modified and improved over time. Members of the Weapon Mastery team will be hosting an AMA on Reddit on April 22, 2019, from 10 am to 1 pm Eastern Time. Look for links to that on social media.
