CS:GOEsports News

Shox, GeT_Right, Coldzera and more headline the latest CS: GO news last week

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) has seen a number of shocking news over the past two days, from the arrival of the famous “Coldzera” to FaZe Clan, the departure of “shox” from  G2 team, and the replacement of “GeT_RighT” In NiP, as well as a surprise return from Evil Geniuses to the game scene

Beginning with the famous Brazilian professional, it has been revealed that the most famous esports organization FaZe Clan has acquired MIBR’s Marcelo “coldzera” David for an undetermined amount of money, but it is expected to be one of the most expensive transfers in the history of CS: GO, which is due to the fact that “coldzera” is ranked as one of the best players after winning the best Player of the Year 2016-2017.

The second big move this week was inevitably for Richard “shox” Papillon, who was laid off by G2 Esports after a long break on the bench with the famous French team. After the disappointing performance of G2 recently, the move of “shox” became a matter of time after being put on the bench, and now it was announced that Vitality has given Nathan “NBK-” Schmitt place for “shox”. Former Cloud9 player Fabien “kioShiMa” Fiey is replacing the player’s spot at G2, with news of discussions taking place for CR4ZY’s Nemanja “huNter-” Kovac and Nemanja “nexa” Isakovic.

“Shox” was not the only one departing yesterday. Ninjas in Pyjamas announced that they had released the legendary Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund, in a restructuring of the roster with the acquisition of rifler Simon “twist” Eliasson coming from Fnatic, hoping that The 24-year-old has improved the results of the team that spent a disappointing year despite Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg and his teammates’ attempts to constantly improve the situation. Twist will play his first game with the team at DreamHack Masters Malmo, which starts early October.

Last but not least in the transfer list, former Cloud9 player William “RUSH” Wierzba found a new home for him in CompLexity, which also signed Danish player Benjamin “blameF” Bremer this morning. The organization has six active players at the moment, so we will be waiting the reveal of which of the current players will make room for RUSH, who used to sit on the side lines of his former team C9 since last July.

As if those transfers were not enough, Evil Geniuses came to the end of the week to announce that it had signed the entire CS: GO line-up itself in order to return to the competitive game after a long absence of seven years. The selection fell on the NRG lineup, which fully joined the organization. It makes sense to see a major organization like EG return to compete in a competitive shooting game after ESL recently announced an open league in 2020, as it is expected to affect the decision of Dignitas and 100 Thieves, which may also enter the arena in the near future.

It is worth mentioning that all the previous changes will show their results during the ESL One New York Championship, which started yesterday, waiting to see the strongest team that will dominate this exciting international event.
