Fnatic on the way to Worlds 2018 finals and more with the semifinals ended

Few hours ago was the last day of semifinals at Worlds 2018, and that was between Fnatic and Cloud9, while the winner will advances to the finals.

yesterday Invictus Gaming beat Cloud9 with 3-0 during the first day of semifinals at Worlds 2018, that’s mean Invictus Gaming also standing in the way of the first LCS Worlds victory since season one. And they will face the Winner of the Fnatic vs. Cloud9 series today.

The series was about as depressing as it could have been for European LCS fans. After taking RNG to five games and ultimately winning their series in the quarterfinals, G2 proved that they could keep up with the best teams in the world as long as their tried-and-true carries, Luka “Perkz” Perković and Martin “Wunder” Hansen, could do what they do best. Yesterday, however, both of these players, as well as the rest of G2, just didn’t show up. IG made them look like they didn’t belong in the semifinals. There’s just no other way to say it.

Fnatic vs. Cloud9

And today Fnatic beat Cloud9 with 3-0 too. And that’s means, the European team Fnatic advanced to World Championship 2018 grand finals for the first time since season one to facing the Chinese team Invictus Gaming for the crown and the title of the year.

For the most part, Fnatic had control of the draft in this series. Ironically, the only draft it seems they lost was the first game, and that also happened to be the least competitive game as Fnatic racked up a gold lead higher than 10,000 at 20 minutes. After that game, though, C9 failed to flex their deep champion pool (except for the Viktor bot lane) as Fnatic continued to pull out new answers to C9’s repeated picks. So even when C9 showed that they may be able to come back, Fnatic’s innovative picks proved way more useful.
