Meet ESL Pro League season 6 grand finale teams

There is no doubt that the sixth season of the ESL Pro League was the most enjoyable season, as it  shocked fans  with many surprises before reaching us to the finals.

SK beat Misfits 2-0 (16-6 Cobblestone, 16-1 Overpass) in the semi-final of the ESL Pro League S6 Finals, setting up the dream grand final.

Sean “seang@res” Gares’s team was off to a good start on their map pick, Cobblestone, picking up the Terrorist pistol and the following two rounds to go 3-0 up. However, SK bounced back by winning the first buy round and quickly tieing the score up at 3-3.

Fernando “fer” Alvarenga’s early round aggression was punished in round seven, giving Misfits the man advantage, but Epitacio “TACO” de Melo and Ricardo “boltz” Prass combined beautifully in a drop retake that netted each of them a kill. TACO then added two more to his tally as the North American side tried to push long B, securing the round for his side.

SK cruised through the rest of the first half, with Misfits winning only two more rounds on their Terrorist side—both of which were force buys.

After finishing the first half 10-5 down, François “AmaNEk”Delaunay and co. were able to give themselves a chance on the map by winning the CT pistol. Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo and co. replied with a successful force-buy and didn’t take the foot off of the pedal from that point onwards, closing out Cobblestone 16-6. TACO was a big part of the victory, finishing the map with a 25-10 K-D.

On the second map, Overpass, SK was off to a very strong start. The Brazilian side picked Misfits apart with their slow and methodical Terrorist side, securing nine unanswered rounds. Shahzeb “ShahZaM” Khan had to get a two-for-one with the AWP and put his team into a 5v3 advantage for Misfits to finally get on the board, but with FalleN and boltz cleaning out the B site in the followup, Misfits’ chances on Overpass diminished even further.

SK closed out the first half without dropping another round, with boltz and Marcelo “coldzera” David topping the scoreboard for their side. The 14-1 lead from the first half was extended to 15-1 for SK as they shut down Misfits’ A long rush in the pistol round, and FalleN’s Scout kill in round 17 brought the map and the series to an end.

  1. Superb blog! Do you have any recommendations for aspiring writers?

I’m hoping to start my own site soon but I’m a little lost on everything.
Would you propose starting with a free platform like
Wordpress or go for a paid option? There are so many choices
out there that I’m totally overwhelmed .. Any ideas? Cheers!
