New VAC update detects popular cheat, number of bans reaches 4 million in 2019

New update to Valve’s Anti Cheat system detected one of the most famous cheating methods in the competitive game Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and it has led to the ban of a huge number of players recently reaching 500,000 players in one month, reaching a new record of players banned

VAC or Valve Anti-Cheat has received a new update on its database, making it able to detect and block a previously known cheat kit used by players. The impact was so great that the number of blocked users reached 538,000 in May alone.

According to SteamDB, the VAC system has banned 3,907,927 million players since the beginning of the year, which is the largest number in the history of the game. This may be due to the fact that CS: GO has become free to play, allowing access for a large number of players around the world.

Internet forums everywhere were filled with screams of distress by users of cheat tools, talking about their experiences with the enhanced VAC system, which, according to one of them, had discovered cheat tools in his computer despite attempts to hide them.

CS: GO has a huge cheating problem going on, so further improvements to VAC are constantly required by players.
