Rainbow Six: Siege is going free to play.. for one week
Ubisoft seems to be planning to bring more players into the world of Rainbow Six, introducing them through a completely free period that may include the upcoming new Ember Rise process
Unlike in the past with games like Assassin’s Creed III and For Honor, Rainbow Six: Siege will not be free to keep forever, but the free period will be limited to only certain dates, which is more generous than we usually see with other team games that Free for one week (only three days). Given the large number of characters and maps that you have to memorize, a longer period will give you a better idea of the world of the game to decide for yourself whether you want to join its players or not.
The free dates are as follows:
- PC (EPIC): August 27th – September 4th
- PC (STEAM): August 27th – September 4th
- XBOX ONE: August 27th – September 9th
- PLAYSTATION 4: August 28th – September 9th
The tweet that came with this announcement shows the next new character Amaru, so fans have predicted that the launch of the new process will be during the free play period, but some still think that the new content will come on September 9 at the very least.

It is worth mentioning that the game will get a 70% discount on the base price, one of the biggest discounts on the game so far throughout the free trial period, giving new players more motivation to join the R6: Siege family, which is estimated by millions of PC players. And home platforms.
Whether or not we will see Ember Rise content next week is something we will await confirmation from Ubisoft itself. The latest new content for this season from Siege ahead of the upcoming New Year’s content which may have a number of changes, most notably the Battle Pass system similar to Fortnite and PUBG games.
