Shroud to stop streaming for an unknown period of time following accident

It seems that Shroud may leave streaming behind for few weeks and perhaps months, after having to undergo a second operation in the wake of the painful accident that happened earlier this month.

Mike Shroud Grzesiek is one of the best professional players in the world, and he is now facing the biggest challenge in his life. The player will stop Twitch streaming and video gaming in general after suffering from a traumatic accident almost two weeks ago, ending up with a serious fracture in his left elbow necessitating a surgery.

According to his close friend Justin “Just9n” Ortiz, the cause of the accident is that Mike stopped his Scooter that moved at 40 mph in an emergency brake, leading to him flying and landing on his left side losing a piece of his elbow. The incident did not come at a worse time for Shroud, where the Twitch streamer surpassed 100,000 subscribers to become the most subscribed on the platform beating the likes of Ninja and Tfue. In spite of several attempts to continue to broadcast, a second operation required Shroud to stop playing until he is cured.

For the Canadian player, there has been a big amount of recognition thanks to the latest Battle Royale Apex Legends, which was able to move Fortnite from its position as the most watched game on the Twitch platform. However, Shroud streaming career first took of with the launch of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds two years ago, Being one of the best players to stream. He soon left his career with Cloud9 in CS: GO behind him to achieve his own independence.

Over 100,000 subscribers on Twitch is no easy feat. Shroud is the second person to achieve that number through the platform’s history with Richard Tyler “Ninja” Blevins getting that much last year at the height of Fortnite: Battle Royale fame.

It will be interesting to see how many fans will be left when Shroud returns, but given the past absence of many streamers, things may not turn out to be what the famous player wants. However, we can not predict Mike’s plans as he may return to live broadcast and play in creative ways as he has done in the last few days either by playing with the help of his friends or by using different methods of keyboard control. In any event, we wish Shroud a speedy recovery!
