Titanfall’s battle royale Apex Legends revealed – Fortnite killer?

Although we have entered a new year, the Battle Royal fever is still in place, and Respawn Entertainment has put the most famous online game Fortnite as its rival with the launch of the new Titanfall game, Apex Legends; the Battle Royale mode that takes  place in the world of the shooting game but With some substantive differences

Apex Legends is a new game from the Titanfall series, which stumbled in 2016 in its second release, which, although offering a style of play that is one of the best EA has published in the past few years, has not been very popular for several factors making the future of the series at imminent risk. Today, less than three years later, we are faced with a new and ambitious release that could breathe life into the body of this degraded titan.

Although it is not the new sequel fans who are passionate about the series have been waiting for, Apex Legends is a free-to-play Battle Royale game taking place in the original game universe. That’s right, one of the strongest points Apex can boast about is being free to play, and perhaps the most powerful factor for it to compete with the current king of online games: Fortnite.

The announcement of Apex Legends came after theAmerican Superbowl event of football, and saw the launch of a preview of the game with a sudden release on PC , Playstation 4 and Xbox One. This means that you will be able to find the game on your store from now on to download it and play immediately without having to wait or pay any money.

Although released today, Apex Legends has been shown earlier in a secret event to which a number of content creators such as Shroud, Dr.Disrespect and more video game sites journalists were invited to, all of whom have shared their positive experience this evening, praising the efforts of Respawn Entertainment offering a fun Battle Royal style that has a special abilities system similar to other games such as Overwatch, which made Apex an interesting mix, despite its lack of titan fights.

The new game supports up to 60 players per game, with the ability to only play in a team of three. A modified version of the Source Engine has been used here, so most of the current PC devices are capable of running at the highest resolution without sacrificing frames dramatically. This also means that devices capable of running CS: GO will not have a problem here.
